How to profit from your blogs.

NO!    THIS ARTICLE  IS NOT GOING TO PROMISE GREAT UNTOLD RICHES but if you use some of the techniques you will read here - you could acquire a steady stream of revenue for very little work.

The old adage “Look for hidden possibilities, overlooked assets and under-performing activities and re-invent them” still holds true. Your blogs are your assets.  Use some of these strategies to turn them into permanent, ongoing passive profit centers.  You can use these methods to create income streams,  with minimum effort.

There are three types of income—earned, portfolio and passive income. Most types of passive income are derived from rental/property, while other types of passive income are derived from royalties from patents or license agreements.

An income stream falling into this category is one where money is received usually on a regular basis, without continuing effort. This does not mean no effort at all most passive income streams require great effort to start with.

Passive Activity Income- is defined to include all income generated from rental real estate investments-- regardless of how active the investor is in managing the property or properties.

- Income from rental property (You must have properties first)
- Royalties from writing a book. (This takes talent and time)
- Selling digital files like software / ebooks or scripts or offering a service that doesn't require the merchant's intervention. In these cases, PayPal IPN may be used to achieve this. (Getting warmer)
- Another example of passive income comes from network marketing. (Yes, and….)
- Selling space for ads, promoting products or providing information online. (This is where the easy money is)

This Article is about making money from your blogs almost effortlessly.

Information is always in demand.  The market for this will never dry up.  This is what will bring your potential customers who are drawn to your blog,  and in this market there's no storage, no stock purchasing, no loss, no deteriation.

Your customers also receive it instantly. Using some of the stategies we will explain in the complimentary 'E-Manual' you should easily be able to create several VERY profitable blogs, or increase the profitability of a blog you already have.

AdSense is probably the easiest way to make a consistent 'passive' income.
You create an account through blogfreehere and select where, on your blog, you wish to place context relevant ads.

Google pay you on a 'per click basis'.  Naturally you must agree to never click your ad yourself nor to blatently direct your viewers to click these ads. (And Google have ways and means of sniffing out this fraud)  The last thing you want is to be banned from this partnership.

To find out how easy this is with blogfreehere, go to blogfortreasure.blogfreehere.com. You can also download the E-Manual once you have written at least one blog.

You can choose your own advertising format from the very subtle to outright garish, whichever you think will suit your particular subject.  Experiment, try different styles for different blogs.

Now so far this is a very passive income earner but if you want more action you can elect to market your blogs in numerous ways.

Lets face it you can’t start really making money until you get traffic to your blog.

Probably the most important way is through search engines or directories. Another way is by advertising. A third way is by publicity. These are covered in some detail in the EManual.
In Broad Strokes:-

You can drive traffic to your blog in several ways.

SEO is one of the most important ways to get traffic to your blog.  Most people now have heard of SEO (search engine optimisation) – when building websites or blogs it is almost mandatory that this service is included.  By bloggine with http://blogfreehere.com/register you will find all of these services provided -  so your blog can be marketed immediately.

Actually  SEO is a 'whole manual subject' in itself but to put it simply, it means that your blog comes up higher in ranking in the search engines. This is probably your most important task because search engines will always be the most important way to aquire visitors for most websites or blogs.
The first thing you must do is determine which keywords (ie, words that a potential visitor will type into a search engine) will bring the most qualified visitors to your website.
To do this, find your competitors on the web and check out what words they are targeting. (You can do this by viewing the source of their web pages and looking at their titles and descriptions.)

There is a delicate balance between choosing keywords that are too general and keyword phrases that are too specific. For instance, if you sell dried flowers, then the keyword "dried" would be too general (because a search on "dried" would include dried foods etc.) and the keywords "beautiful dried flowers" would be too specific (because very few people would search for these keywords).
You should include specific brand names, and other common descriptions for your products in your keyword list. Sign up for a Google Adwords account and use their keyword suggestion tool to find out how many people search for various keyword combinations.
For instance you should include your keywords in all of the following:
- The Title of the page
- The Description of the page
- The first paragraph of the page
- The file name of the page (if possible)
- The alt tags of any graphics on the page
- The page headings of the page
(There is quite a lot more information about this subject in the blogfreehere.com E-Manual which can be downloaded after you have registered and written at lease one blog.)

Another way to climb the search engine ranks is to have links from other web sites or blogs.  You need as many of these as possible.

Once again blogfreehere.com make it easy for you.    Once you have started a blog and posted an entry go to 'settings' and  enter your key words.  Then place your blog on listing sites by choosing to 'ping' these sites in the hope  that  your blog  will get picked up somewhere, giving you backlinks to your blog.

There are "Banner Exchanges" where you place an ad for your site on someone else's site in exchange for placing an ad on your site for theirs. However, many webmasters prefer to have text links, which have a more personal look.
You can pay to have an advertisement placed on someone else's web site. Sometimes these ads are paid for on a per click basis. Other times you pay a commission on any sale that the ad generates. This is called an Affiliation program.

All the above is practically 'no effort' revenue making.  (Especially as you can get most of this done directly through Blogfreehere.com.
Now for something a little more involved.

You can also run ads in newsletters, newspapers or magazines.
(Classified advertising is often a good way to get started in promoting your blog. There are both free and paid classified available on the Internet.)

One of the best and easiest ways to get traffic is by advertising your blog through Google Adwords. This is the biggest PPC (pay per click) program on the web, and it makes sense (excuse the pun) to take advantage of this opportunity to drive up traffic.

As well as AdSense Google has another advertising service - AdWords.

Simply put:

AdSense is for publishers - people who have websites/blogs and want to become one of Google’s partners, in which case Google will display ads on your site, ads that the Adwords advertisers are paying for.

AdWords is for advertisers who want to get traffic to their website from Google and it’s partners. Here you need to purchase 'keywords' to get higher ranking on Google Searches.  (Key words are words or phrases related to your business blog).

You purchase these 'keywords' by bidding for them. The more you pay for these words the higher rank and the more your ads appear.  Once again you only have to pay Google if someone clicks on your ad.  But it is important to note that this strategy is only rewarding if the product on your blog is sold.

So the question you must ask yourself is: Are you selling something?  Information, Products, Services?  Then create a blog that will display this. Then the AdWord strategy is a real winner.

However, if you dont have something you wish to sell yourself you can always elect to promote someone else's products or services on your blog through an affiliate program.  Sometimes these Affiliate Ads are more profitable than selling your own products
Affiliations
Affiliations are a good way to make money on the Internet. There are hundreds of affiliate programs available to choose from, representing many different kinds of products. The first, and probably most famous, affiliate program was Amazon.com's. The great thing about affiliate programs is that you don't need a product, or even a web site, to make money on the Internet. Many affiliate programs give you a web site to advertise, and that's really all there is to making money this way. Promote, promote, promote!
Things you should look for in an affiliate program are reporting capabilities (so you can see what sales you've made, what commissions are due you and whether they've been paid), multi-tier programs (so you can get paid commissions on the sales of affiliates that have purchased from you), and perhaps most importantly, contact information, should a question or problem arise. High commissions are a big bonus too. (see more in the free E-Manual download - Affiliates).

                      This is how it works.

- Your ads appear on Google
- When people search on Google using one of your keywords, your ad may appear next to the  search results.
- Now you're advertising to an audience that's already interested in you. You attract customers
- People can simply click your ad to make a purchase or learn more about you.

There are quite a few tricks to tweak your advertising income.  These are covered in the  FREE blogfreehere.com ‘E-manual'  which can be downloaded only after you have registered and published at least one blog with Blogfreehere.

ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT WAYS OF PROMOTING YOUR BLOGS   IS TO MAKE SURE THAT NO PIECE OF PAPER, RECEIPT, BILL, EMAIL, ADVERTISEMENT OR NEWS ARTICLE LEAVES YOUR HANDS WITHOUT YOUR BLOG ADDRESS.  PUT IT ON EVERYTHING – YES, EVEN THE LOO PAPER.

For just a little more effort and a few dollars more.......

Providing you have a blog with good quality content which will attract repeat visits, another suggestion to get quality incoming links and PR is to run press releases about your blog once per month. You can do so on sites like www.prweb.com for $50-$100.
Even if you don’t have anything really new or newsworthy to say, the important thing is that search engines will pick up the press releases and they will generate good PR incoming links for your website. Just create a simple press release on how wonderful your website is.

Spending $100 guarantees your release will be picked up by Google News and Yahoo News.

A few more incoming link strategies:
1 On forums that allow you to post with a signature with an URL, such as Warrior Forum, you should always have a keyword rich link to your website in your signature. Search engines spider these pages daily and any quality link back to your site is good.

2 Copy and paste a few paragraphs from your website in order to create articles on Article City,
GoArticles.com and EzineArticles.com. Be sure to link back to your site in the articles. Once these articles get indexed you’ve got instant high quality backlinks to your site.

3 Create blogs at other blog sites and regularly make posts to it using text from your website, and include a link back to your site.
4 Remember once you post your entries, go to the ping section and ping all listed so that it will get picked up somewhere, giving you backlinks to your blog, which will help because your blog links to your website.

It’s important that you keep your content updated and make a few changes every couple of weeks. That way Google knows to come back to your blog every few weeks to spider your blog again. You are basically training Google’s robots to think your blog is important because you change and update your content often.

If you don’t know enough about a subject to write a few new paragraphs about it every couple of weeks, or if you are too lazy like me, but you still want to target the subject because the keywords are high paying, you can always put articles on your site written by other people. There are a few sites that provide thousands of free articles on just about any subject, and you are free to use them on your site. (more in the E-Manual).

Still more SEO Strategies:
Become a member of www.webmasterworld.com and frequently read posts in their Google forum. Also join Warrior Forum.
Sign up with an external tracking program to find out exactly where your visitors are coming from. For instance 'Site Tracker' to keep track of where your blog visitors come from, and it also tells you what keywords they used to get to your blog.

That is more than enough to get you thinking.  Don't forget - Register, Write at least one blog, download the Free E-Manual and blog your way to riches!
